The 2025 Patricia Loyd Handy Scholarship Winner is Olivia Lopez, a senior at Disney II Magnet High School in Chicago, with a 3.88 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, Honor Roll member for 2023-2025, and active in community activities for the past 5 years. Olivia will be attending Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, majoring in pharmaceutical chemistry.
Feds Feed Families Drive
NKHC's goal is to donate 200 cans/items to families in the Chicagoland area to support the 2024 Feds Feeds Families theme, Nourishing Our Neighbors Nationwide. Feds Feed Families is a healthy food drive that helps our neighbors by providing them with nutritious options. A healthy food drive is the collection of foods, both canned and fresh when possible, that are high in nutrients, protein, or fiber. (Pictured above: Antionette Hall, FFF/NKHC Coordinator)
